Most internet marketers don’t give a damn about good writing. The main preoccupation of most marketers as writers is to make their keywords rank their sites high in the search engines. It’s sad that marketers as writers are not concerned about their readers at all. It’s keyword density that occupies them. If you’re just pushing a product with your article, you’re sure to lose your reader who is a potential customer. People are turned off by sales pitches especially since they thought they could get valuable info from your article. Analytics tools have proven many times that good writing leads to your desired action on the part of your reader. So, how do you write an effective SEO article? By writing it well. Therefore, it goes without saying that a well-written article is effective for SEO.

The first step to a well-written article is a good research on the topic. If you’re too lazy to do a good research don’t write on topics that are supposed to be information-laden. Spend a good amount of time on your research. Verify your suppositions on the topic by doing a proper research. Use expressions like could, may, and might because they are hypothetical while will states a fact that may not be true.

DO be positive. Write articles from a positive point of view. Your articles should be from a positive perspective. “You are probably losing sleep over all of the bills piling up…” is an example of the first line of an article that is currently on the web. Instead, write “There is no need to be anxious about being overweight.” Your article should set your readers in a positive mood and arouse their interest. Use morale-boosting expressions to inspire your readers. You want to inspire them to act, click, and buy.

DO treat the reader like they have a brain in their head. They know if you’re just pulling a fast one on them. Be forthright with your readers and they will respond.

Your article should use keywords effectively. If you can figure out how to put them in the title, go for it. The first paragraph is where you get the most keyword action.
