This is How to Make it in Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing can be a surprisingly simple way to make money online. This article will aim at dispelling some of the more popular myths surrounding the affiliate marketing industry. Steve Clayton and Tim Godfrey are two of my favorite internet marketers and among the few true “gurus” in my book so whenever they release a new training course I pay attention. The upcoming launch of the Blueprint Project Black Edition is no different.
An affiliate marketing myth that has been rampant is that it takes a lot of time to actually maintain and take care of affiliate pages or blogs. Don’t believe this harmful myth, the main “work” is when you add a new post or article, here and there. So, for instance, you are in the dog training niche and promoting an ebook on your site. The only time you really need to worry about adding new content is when the product’s creator upgrades or changes the product that you are promoting. Maintaining your site is the least of your worries. Of course, driving traffic to your site is a little more involved and you will have to put most of your efforts into that. Just because you bring visitors to your site doesn’t mean that traffic has something to do with running the site itself.
One other popular myth circulating is that affiliate marketing is just more advertising. Yes it does have the same elements as advertising but it is definitely different than the traditional medium. It takes a lot of inspiration from advertising in the form of how the exposure is gained and how the traffic is driven. You’re able to personalize your advertising messages with affiliate marketing, offering opinions, feedback or reviews about a product. You can also develop and grow an immediate network. Autoblogging is very popular and with the power of the great autoblogging WordPress Plugin called WP Robot it is also becomes very easy to do and profit from.
Many wrongly believe that it takes thousands of monthly visitors in order to make money.
You can get a million visitors a month but if they aren’t targeted then they won’t convert to buyers. The number of affiliate marketers who think that success is based on the number of visitors alone have a wake up call coming when they discover that they still aren’t getting commissions. Going after sheer numbers of visitors is a mistake that too many affiliates make and a problem that is stopping them from making sales. It is very possible to turn your site around, from no sales to making them everyday, but you need to focus on quality traffic. So instead of focusing on the numbers, you have to put all your concentration on getting those visitors that are actually interested in your offer. It is critical to educate yourself on affiliate marketing and stay ahead of the competition because it is surrounded by myths with no substance.
