I’d Much Prefer To Be Cheated And Continue As A Decent Person With A Clean Spirit Than Like The Brothers Grim Who Conned Me

Alright, so the Kalmindon disaster is resolved. I know I’ve been diddled by a couple of very smart brothers with a very believable hook, it’s cost me three grand that I paid for SEO training that I could have found from the internet for nothing, with no chance at all of the expected clientele that was ‘guaranteed upon course completion’ appearing. They were supposed to have a ‘pool of clients’ waiting to have their site optimised and they would just match me up with the ones either in or nearest to the Black Country.

Of course the spiteful thing, which is the same for all of us who have been cheated, is not the loot that we all paid out to the Brothers Grim, but the reserves we used up in the meantime. Because they assigned us a website of their own to go with which wanted lots of articles, 50 in my case, in the anticipation that a paying client was imminent and I could start to earn some kind of income. In my case that means that because I got on with the training in April I have been using up my own money to support us during that term and now here we are in November and it is nearly all gone. Luckily, the cost of living in the Black Country is much reduced than it would be in lots of places, but it could not continue forever, and it didn’t.

But, what I have acquired is the knowledge that I wasn’t the only one and some intelligent others have also been done equally so I’m not the only berk. The other is that I know how do SEO, something that I did not actually know existed prior to the episode but now I understand it and really great pleasure from doing it. To me, SEO is the ideal job as my Mrs is having chemotherapy at the moment which means frequent journeys to hospitals around the Black Country and I can drop it for a while to go with her.

I had already been practicing a little IT support for small companies in the Black Country but it merely involved the odd call to connect a printer or resuscitate a crashed pc, not as often as I would like obviously. But what I can do now is to combine both abilities and offer SEO and IT support and hopefully attract frequent business coming in.

But while I try to sort out something, I may have to see about a career at the Scottish burger restaurant or at a pub somewhere but it isn’t likely to help very much as the 1st Mrs Izzard is about to go on half pay from next month as she has been off sick for treatment for 6 months now. Which is of course another rather regrettable case of timing as far as the conning of time and money by Kalmindon is concerned.

So, although I’m not a native of the Black Country I have found them to be largely happy and positive folk, and I will endeavour to match that outlook because I am, after all a far better person than the scum-suckers who very likely feel very satisfied and clever at having diddled me and the rest. But then that is perhaps how sociopaths function and I am a good fellow. So there. *Blows a raspberry!*
